This forum's leadership has taken a strong stance against street racing. We have lost members to street racing crashes and feel that illegal racing tarnishes the car community as a whole.

Not all street racers are created equal. I bet you've NEVER gotten on it on the street before, right?

i'd say everyone on here has. this topic has been went over time and time before. they just want to keep all the BS off the site, along with the nutswinging of "oh my car is faster than yours" talk.
it's one of those rules you respect, reguardless of if you follow the rules on the road of not.
on a lighter note. i had to go to traffic school in Williamson County, Seatbelts save lives, any car crash over 100mph has a 50/50 death rate, and a collision can be fatal without your seatbelt @just 30mph. just some things to think about if you have a little too much fun on the road.

I never said I had not did I? What I did say is that as a site we have chosen to not promote it. I would argue almost all car owners who are into fast cars have done some form of illegal speed challenge in their driving careers...But that doesnt mean it is something we should be proud of or publish on this site. Its kinda like since most people who drink have probably drove at some point where they were a little too tipsy, then we should allow drunk driving.

We have considered banning any street racing videos period...But since so many videos are out there and some cars performance (especially older builds that have come and gone) are only shown in youtube street race vids we have reluctantly allowed those videos to be posted. However if the issue is pushed we will likely ban all.

So if I'm technically a local guy, but I go to Texas to race......does that make the video permisible or no?

My advice would be to use your best judgment.. If you push the issue, then likely all the videos will be banned.

That's awesome and all....but, can't you make any car fast with 20,000 dollars? Maybe more than that invested.
